Adding poetry to this blog

I just found out that poetry.com has resurfaced under new management so my poems that I wrote back in 2000 and 2001 aren't lost after all!

I am writing some new poems too. I've been writing since I was 12 years old and its one passion that I lose touch with as life gets busier.

Today's Haul

I had tons of coupons from online and the Sunday inserts. I didn't do too badly but I'm still broke because of normal circumstances! Shit happens. Its the begining of the month so most of the money goes to rent. Here it goes:

CVS:

Suave Deodorent: On sale $1.00; -$1.00 coupon
FREE

Pantene: 2/$6.97; -$3.00 coupon
$3.97 for two

Carefree pantiliners: on sale $0.99; -.50 coupon
$0.49 each

Suave Body Wash (I think I only paid $1.50 or something for those but I forget)

Walgreens:

Huggies Size 3 Easy Ups diapers 66 ct: Clearance $19.97; -$4.00 coupon
$14.97

Purina Dog food on sale 2/$10 bought one bag along with a large tub of cat litter and used a -$1.00 coupon on the cat litter and only paid $9.00 for both!

Busy Bones dog treats: on clearance for $3.97 and used a -$1.00 for 2

Purina Cat food on clearance for $5.99

Winn Dixie:

Johnson and Johnsons baby wash on sale $2.99; -$1.00 peelie plus -$0.75
$1.25!!!

Publix BOGO sale

Today, my husband, the kids and I made our way over to Publix for some end-of-the-week grocery shopping. We were literally scraping the back of our pantry, that's how broke we are! Luckily, Publix is having a really good BOGO sale and we picked up some last minute things:

Quaker Chewy Granola Bars- BOGO
Doritos Cool Ranch- BOGO
Publix Deli Tea- BOGO
Mueller's Pasta- BOGO
Ore Ida Frozen Potatoes- BOGO
Fresh Express Salad kits- BOGO
V8 Splash- BOGO

Then some extras we got were:

Vegetarian sushi rolls
Milk
Eggo Buttermilk Pancakes
2 Spongebob Kraft Mac and Cheeses


I'm sure there were a few more things but I forgot. I"m new to this whole blogging thing so once I get my shit together, I"ll save my receipts and get some real numbers for you. For all that , we spent $40.10. To me, it was kind of a lot but its going to feed four people for 5 days so I don't know. We'll see!
